New High-Tech Solution to Address TTC and TC Arthrodesis

A new system addresses the TTC and TC arthrodesis, empowering surgeons with flexibility in technique and approach.

FREMONT, CA: Addressing the unmet and under-served needs of the foot and ankle community, Paragon 28, has launched Phantom® Hindfoot TTC/TC System to address TTC and TC arthrodesis. Paragon 28 is committed to creating tailored solutions to improve surgical outcomes. The company has unveiled this innovative product and instrumentation to simplify procedures, enabling surgeons' flexibility in technique and strategy, and expedite reproducible results benefiting both the surgeon and patient. The new system is the first of three hindfoot fusion nailing systems. The Phantom Hindfoot, TTC/TC Nails, are created from Type II Anodized Titanium Alloy and are accessible in five length options (150 mm, 175 mm, 200 mm, 250 mm, 300 mm) and three diameters (Ø10 mm, Ø11.5 mm, and Ø13 mm).

The proximal end of the Nails is tailored with a flex coil design, enabling flexibility and stress sharing. The implant wins its way through the outlining of the tibial canal, where all the pegs are inserted from posterior to anterior and medial to lateral, mitigating the need to take down the fibula. To further boost distal fixation, the Nail contains two 7.2 mm calcaneal pegs inserted from posterior to anterior at a variable (0-18°) angle. The system harnesses PRECISION Guide technology and comprises the Ghost™ Outrigger, designed with carbon fiber technology and fluoroscopic inlays, facilitating visualization of peg trajectory before drilling.

Paragon 28 is an orthopedic foot and ankle organization, providing forefoot, midfoot and hindfoot plates, staples, screws, and allograft bone systems for use in foot and ankle surgery. Motivation, competition, and the desire to learn are unique features that are incredibly valuable to Paragon 28's success.
