Vyne Dental Completes the Acquisition of Operability and it's Patient Communications and Engagement Platform

Vyne Dental's web-based dental practice billing software combined with Operability's patient engagement and practice communications solution as part of the agreement.

Fremont, CA: Vyne Dental, a global leader of revenue cycle management, claims management, and electronic health record exchange for all sizes of dental practices, has acquired Operability and its OperaDDS patient communications and engagement platform.

OperaDDS supports end-to-end information transfer between dental practices, providers, and patients via email, two-way text messaging, bespoke paperless forms, and encrypted email services, with over 14,000 combined users in the United States.

OperaDDS sends appointment reminders, updated or expired electronic forms, and other critical notifications from their dentist to their patients by text or email. Patients can complete customized, paperless forms on the practice's website or in-office via tablet or kiosk, in addition to texting or emailing them.

Dr. Bryan Laskin, the CEO of Minneapolis-based Functionality, will join Vyne Dental as a strategic advisor to ensure OperaDDS' sustained success when combined with Vyne Dental solutions such as Vyne Trellis.

VyneTrellis, a web-based dental billing platform, was recently developed by Vyne Dental to enable dental practices to enhance and manage their revenue cycles. And exchange encrypted health information and assessed a patient's insurance eligibility or benefits coverage levels in real-time.

By combining Vyne Trellis with OperaDDS, a new integration among standard revenue cycle and patient engagement workflows are created in the dental arena to enhance the dental practice-dental patient relationship via robust patient contact and engagement.

"For the past year, Vyne's Dental's mission has been to become a leading provider of fully automated revenue cycle management solutions in dentistry," said Steve Roberts, president of Vyne Dental. "With the previous acquisitions of Renaissance Electronic Services, Tesia Clearinghouse, DSO Data, and now this exciting, new technology, we are one step closer to accomplishing this goal."

OperaDDS founded in 2011, intending to upgrade the dentistry sector by embracing technology and prioritizing patients.

"I'm passionate about helping doctors grow their practices and improve their patient satisfaction by embracing technology," said Dr.Laskin, a practicing dentist, technologist, and entrepreneur. "OperaDDS' innovations are being used by thousands of dental practices across the country, and through this integration, I'm confident that we'll be able to tackle many more of dentistry's most significant patient engagement and revenue cycle challenges."

According to Roberts, the acquisition of Operability solidifies Vyne Dental's leading position in end-to-end information exchange, including communication management systems for healthcare. More than 74,000 dental practices use Vyne Dental to manage their revenue cycles, send encrypted communications, and position their businesses for success.
